Some of our recent projects are listed in this section to demonstrate our expertise and skills.
LoRaWAN Orientation Sensor
Client Requirements
Develop a LoRa Orientation Sensor with 5 year battery life
Our Solution
The design was based on STM's LoRa development platform using Murata's certified LoRa module. TheThingsNetwork LoRaWAN server was used during development and TagoIO platform was used to demonstrate device performance. The design achieved over 8 years battery life
Platform, Technology
STM32
Keil uVision 5
NFC Access Management System
Client Requirements
Develop an NFC based Access Management system that connects to Clould over Proprietary Wireless Network. Device is battery powered and NFC must be instantly responsive
Our Solution
A low power instantly responsive NFC was a challenge. NXP's NFC chipset was used that integrates an ARM processor within the chipset. This allowed very low power consumption while meeting always ON NFC reader requirement.
Platform, Technology
NXP
MCU Xpresso IDE
Headset with Audio and EEG Streaming over Bluetooth
Client Requirements
Develop a Headset capable of streaming EEG samples and Audio simultaneously over Bluetooth. Headset should operate from battery and allow battery charging through USB connector. It should support OTA firmware upgrades and also provide visual animated feedback to the user.
Our Solution
This is prior to Audio support over BLE. Classic BT was needed for Audio streaming and BLE for data streaming. ESP32 module was chosen because it has dual mode Bluetooth.
Platform, Technology
Espressif ESP32
ESP-IDF
FreeRTOS
Wifi E-Paper Display
Client Requirements
Client required a Wifi E-Paper display with 6 months battery life running on 2 x AA Alkaline batteries
Our Solution
The design was based on Texas Instruments' SimpliciTI platform, Wifi module and MSP430 mcu.
With use of low power high efficient power circuitry and low power resource management in the firmware. battery life of 1 year was achieved with 2 xAA Alkaline batteries
Platform, Technology
MSP430
CC3000
SimpliciTI Wifi stack
Code Composer Studio
Buck-Boost Converter
Gas Sensing Telemetry Device
Client Requirements
Client required battery powered low power telemetry device to sense and report a number of gases, pressure, temperature & humidity. The device was also required have wireless access both remotely as well as locally
Our Solution
The design was based on Microchip ARM Cortex-M4 low power mcu. For remote access, Quectel modem add-on board was designed and for local access Microchip Bluetooth module was used. Hardware was designed so that PCB could retrofit into existing enclosure saving the client time and money.
Platform, Technology
Atmel/Microchip ARM Cortex-M4
Microchip Bluetooth
Atmel Studio
Sensirion Sensors
Valve Controller & Power Board
Client Requirements
Client requirement was to design circuit and do PCB layout for manufacturing with the following specifications:
Smallest possible size
2-layer board
Battery management circuitry
Buck-Boost DC-DC power circuits for wide input voltage and 3.3v, 5v voltage outputs
Circuitry to control solenoid valves
Our Solution
Because this was a battery powered product, so power circutiry efficiency was of utmost importance. The design was based on high efficiency switch mode power supply SoCs from Texas Instruments. Lithium Battery fuel gauge was an I2C fuel guage chip from TI as well. Simple MOSFET circuitry with protection was used for driving the soleniod valves.
Platform, Technology
TI Power Management SoCs
TI Battery Fuel Guage
